NIS 2010 cannot access settings and 5 registry keys may be a problem --- Do I need to re-install ???

Background

  • Had NIS 2009 and could not access settings --- error received was --- Access denied, you need to be an administrator to access settings.  Previously I have been able to access settings.
  • Ran program as an administrator and also logged into the Administrator account, but still received the same error
  • Check at Norton website indicated either a re-install or upgrade may solve problem
  • Upgraded to NIS 2010
  • My first full scan with NIS 2010, found 28 tracking cookies (low priority and no other threats)
  • Following this I ran my registry checker (Registry Mechanic from PCtools)
  • It found 7 threats but could only correct 2.  The five it could not correct appear related to NIS.
  • I am still not able to access settings in NIS
  • My system is a HP DV6000 series laptop with a 1.8 GHz AMD Turion X2 processor, 3 Gb of RAM and running Vista Home Premium (32 bit)

How do I get to access NIS settings again and are the registry keys noted below aproblem related to NIS?

 

If yes what do i do to correct or should I simply re-install NIS?
