NIS 2010, interface hangs when viewing history or resolving issues

System:  PC with AMD64 CPU, Windows XP Pro v2002 w/SP3 & updated patches.

 

New install of NIS2010, no previous Anti-Virus installed.  

 

Main NIS window opens fine and works.  Click on "history", that interface comes up.  Select a different filter at the "show" box and that box hangs (not responding). 

 

Very frustrating considering I just made the purchase and it's not helping me.
