I just installed Win 7 over XP via a reboot. It has the same product key that I am trying to install now. I get the red 'X' to right and above the product key I entered. The Agree & Install button stays grey. Nothing happens when clicked. There is a folder of 'Windows.old ' on my C driver which probably means not a clean install.
Could it still be in the registers some where?
Ran Norton removal tool and it didn't help.
I have checked the key 4 times and tried to find it on my other XP machine to confirm the key but could not find it anywhere.
