I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium with NIS 2010 on my son's PC. Unfortunately, post boot, he is able to login to his account and start an unrestricted internet browser session before NIS Parental Controls are fully loaded and operational, even though "early load on" is set in the NIS configuration.
Tests show it is a timing/latency issue because if I login to his account immediately after Win 7 boots and presents the account icons screen, I too can start a browser session that bypasses NIS Parental Controls. However, if I logout and quickly login again, the very next browser session does not bypass NIS Parental Controls.
I need a way, even if we have to resort to a regedit32 hack, of ensuring that all NIS services load before any other services, except the operating system services upon which NIS itself depends, on the assumption that NIS Parental Controls would then be loaded and fully operational before my son can login to his account and start an internet browser session.
I very much welcome feedback on this issue.
