I've been having two problems recently with my NIS 2010 lately, and I have not been able to find any solutions to them. First, NIS just refuses to launch. I've tried clicking on the shortcuts, using the start menu entries, it just won't open. It [i]was[/i] set to launch at startup, but it doesn't launch when the PC is shut down or restarted. There's no icon in the system tray, nothing. I have no idea if it's getting updates, but I'm guess it's still running because I have the Norton toolbar running in Firefox, and it's still fine. I have Norton Systemworks Basic Edition also installed, and it runs fine. Could that be causing problems?
The second issue has ceased to affect me, now that NIS won't launch. When it was working, NIS would pop up whenever I launched a fullscreen application, causing the syste, to tab out of whatever was running. Needless to say, it was quite annoying. I tried adding exceptions for these programs, but it didn't have any effect. It would not affect windowed applications.
