Recently we upgraded one of our computers from NIS 2010 to 2011. The others will be done later, depending on how we like it.
Today I was doing some maintenance on the upgraded (NIS 2011, 18.1.0.37) computer (XP Pro + SP3).
I discovered that the D&S/All Users/Application Data/Norton folder is 287 MB! It previously (last month) had almost no size.
Under that current Norton folder are 3 folders, but one folder has all the 287 MB: {0C55C096-...}
Under the {0c55C096... folder are 3 folders, but one folder has _all_ the 287 MB: NIS_18.1.0.37.
That 287 MB in All Users/App Data is in addition to:
PF/Norton Internet Security (72 MB)
PF/NortonInstaller (10 MB)
Q1: Is the All Users/App Data/Norton 287 MB folder still needed?
Q2: If the answer is yes, _why_ is it necessary, since there is a PF/NIS folder (where programs are supposed to run from)?
Q3: If the answer is no, why would Symantec leave so much unused crap lying around after an install/upgrade?
Q4: Why is there a PF/NortonInstaller folder, since the upgrade was completed days ago and the computer restarted many times?
