NIS 2010, updating product key to renew for one more year

Hi,

50 weeks ago I purchased and installed Norton internet security suite 2009. Late in 2009 Norton offered a free upgrade/download of Norton internet security suite 2010.

I have 2 weeks left on my subscription of NIS2010, so today I purchased a boxed CD from Fry's, Norton internet security suite 2010.
Also, today I notice that NIS made a major update, so now I'm running an installed version [17.5.0.127] which is more recent than the version on the CD I purchased today.


1.How do I enter the product key so as to extend the subscription another year?
2.If I do it now, will I lose the 2 weeks remaining on my existing subscription?
3.Or should I wait until the day it expires, and then enter the new product key?

Okay. I'll wait until just before expiration... no sense to do it now if it means losing a couple of weeks on the subscription.

It's important to note that when you enter the new Activation Key, your current subscription will be changed over to the new one, and any remaining days will be lost. Be sure to only activate with the new key once the old key gets down to short amount of time.
