Idle file
scans are disabled, automatic defragmentation is disabled, complete drive is
excluded, but NIS 2011 is still accessing performance.db millions of time per hour. Using a SAS drive results
in a remarkable noise which encourage to reboot the computer as soon as
possible.
The only
thing which seems to help is the silent mode, but this is unfortunately limited
to 24 hours. Afterwards the incredible drive access starts and even re-enabling
the slient mode again does not help.
The same
topic is already existing on the following link: http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/NIS-2011-constant-disk-access-mrclean-db-and-performance-db/td-p/340322
It is on
longer to post to it, but the issue is sill existing.
Does
anybody has any further tips how to overcome this problem?
Kind Regards,
Achim Schön
