Just recently I upgraded from NIS 2010 to 2011. Duirng the upgrade some error came up and it said to reboot and if that did not correct things, to uninstall and reinstall. I rebooted and it worked fine for a couple days then said my subscription had expired. This made sense because it was time to renew. The program stopped working with a big red box waying you are not protected, click here to renew. I renewed by entering a new license number. But the program still has the big red box saying unprotected, you must renew.
Oddly when I clicked support, check subscription status, it said I had 366 days left on my subscription. So in that sense the renewal was valid.
Symantec support remoted on, uninstalled NIS 2011 but reinstalled NIS 2010. Now it works fine. But I still want to upgrade to 2011.
Should I try to updgrade again? Or could there be some bug with NIS 2011 that affects the program recognizing that I have renewed the subscription?
This takes a lot of time on my slow computer.
