I have suggested this for 2010 and for 2011 and don't see it's been implemented:
When doing a full system scan, please include a percentage of files completed so I have some idea of how much longer a full system scan will take (for example, 80% complete).
I realize that the number of files are displayed but there are often times when I start one, get interrupted and have to stop.
