Hi,
Recently, I had to get my PC formatted and the Win 7 HP (64-Bit) OS and all Applications re-installed. I have noticed that this time around, NIS 2011 hasn't disabled my Windows Firewall and both NIS 2011's own Smart Firewall as well as Windows Firewall are functioning simultaneously without any conflict. Is it necessary (or recommended) to have Windows Firewall service enabled if NIS 2011 already has an effective Smart Firewall active ?
Regards,
Ramesh

Thanks @SendofJive. I have noticed that though my Windows Firewall service is on, seems it is managed by NIS 2011. I understand that this is the recommended setting, as per posts referred in your response to my earlier post. Hence, have left it as it is. I too believe in the policy "don't fix it, if it ain't broke" !!
