Hello. I recently switched to NIS 2011 after using ZoneAlarm for several years. So far I'm impressed with NIS 2011. Much better than Norton products I used 7 years ago.
I have a question about the schedule idle scans. I have the scan settings left in their default configuration (weekly idle time scans -- I'm assuming these are weekly full scans). From the scan log I can see that Idle quick scans are occuring often (several times a day). But so far I have not seen an Idle full scan, and it's been 8 days since installation.
I performed a manual full scan on 02/12/11 (date of install), and as of today 02/20/11 I have not seen a log entry for an idle full scan. I've left the computer idle for several hours, but nothing has happened. The "scan now" page still says last completed full scan was 02/12/11. Should the date on that page change after a full idle scan is performed?
Here's another bit of info. I do see a log entry saying tracking cookies were deleted by virus scanner or 02/19/11, and the time on the entry is hours away from any other idle scans. Maybe this was the idle full scan after all? I guess I was expecting a log entry saying "Idle Full Scan Completed" or something like that.
Any help or clarification on this would be appreciated.
