Hi,
I've got a laptop running Vista and NIS2011 and after installing it keeps failing on the live update part.
Here's the error I get
Update intrusion detection engine, status failed to complete. Insufficient diskspace to download updates. Error 8920,210.
I've run diskclean up to check on space and I've got over 7gb. Makes no difference.
The laptop did previously have a copy of Norton 360 that I unistalled using the removal tool (twice with reboots.)
Though I could not get updates I ran a full scan and found 5 trojans that NIS2011 could not remove. I suspect these got onto the system when the Norton 360 expired (about 4 months ago.) I suspected as much when I got the laptop (from a rather negligent teenager!) but thought a new version would be able to remove them. Unfortunately it confirmed they were there but couldn't fix them.
I thought the new updates might be able to fix them, but the live updates keep failing.
any suggestions?
thanks
