[NIS 2011] NIS not recognizing completion of liveupdates after prompted restart.

64-bit Windows 7

Service Pack 1

Several days ago liveupdate prompted me to download thirteen updates which have thus far failed to complete on my computer. Liveupdate says that the updates were successfully installed each time I download them and then prompts me to restart to complete the updates, but once I restart and run liveupdate again it starts downloading the same updates as if they were never downloaded and installed previously. Since then I have successfully downloaded and completed the definitions from subsequent days, but liveupdate continues to download the thirteen that are not successfully completing as well. I tried a manual installation of definitions but this did not solve the problem.

Here are the titles of the updates as presented in the summary:

1. "Norton 2011 Error Submission Control Data"

2. "Consumer Licensing Technologies. This update requires a restart of your PC."

3. "Norton 2011 Iron Settings"
