Using NIS 2011 (Version 18.6.0.29) and have Automatic Program Control turned Off so I can granulate control over outgoing applications. Have just installed Office Outlook 2007 with SP2 and I noticed that - even when Outlook.exe is not listed in Program Control, I am able to send and receive and I am not getting prompted by Norton whether I wish to Allow or Block the instances.
Outlook seems to be able to go out for POP3 unchallenged even with Automatic Program Control turned off.
I have tried looking through the common firewall rules to see if POP3 ports are perhaps taking priority but cannot find how Outlook is getting out?!
