Can anyone help me with an issue I have. My new HP laptop came with a 60 day trial of NIS2011. At the time I installed NIS (around 2 months ago) I cannot remember getting an alert message prompting me to enable Safe Search the first time I opened Internet Explorer after installing NIS. (the installation itself went ok without any hitches)
The problem I have is I have just noticed that I have no way of enabling Safe Search. There is no option to enable Safe Search on the drop down menu in the Norton Toolbar in IE. Can anyone tell me how I can enable Safe Search? (NIS seems to be working perfectly other than this issue).
My system is:
HP DV3138TX Laptop running Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit, (all fully patched) and IE 8. NIS version 18.5.0.125
(I also recently upgraded my old Windows XP Laptop from NIS 2009 to NIS 2011 via an internet download from the Norton Web site and I got the alert message prompting me to enable Safe Search the first time I opened IE 8 after the upgrade. The drop down menu on the IE Norton toolbar includes an option to enable/disable Safe Search).
