I recently purchased NIS 2011 for use on 3 pcs all of which had previously been running NIS 2010.
The machines running windows vista and 7 uprgarded w/out any problem - the XP machine is however givving some problems.
The machine is running 32 Bit XP Pro with SP3. Upon a first attempt at installing NIS 2011 stopped at the initialising screen and did not continue. I then tried to just enter the 'product key' into the NIS which was already installed (2010 which ahd auto updated to 2011 for some reason!) - this seemed to work as it indicated to me that it now had 366 days left - however it is now 7 days behind on updates and when i run live update it tells me there are no updates.
I have tried to update this with the intelligent updated downloadable from Norton.
When i try a reinstall from the CD it sticks on the initialising screen.
I have also tried the alternative download file avaliable from norton (www.norton/NIS)
And it wont allow me to unistall what is currently on the system!
any suggestions?
