I've been reading through other messages related to subscription length after upgrading, but I'm still confused. I have a boxed version of NIS 2011 (3 computers). My 2010 subscription doesn't end until Dec 8, but I figured why not have the latest protection since I've got the program. My assumption was that the extra month would just be added to the subscription term of the 2011 product. It seems that is not the case, however. I now have a year from today, so it appears that I lost one month of what I paid for. Is this really Norton's policy? I know the activation keys are different, but during the upgrade the system certainly knows the 2010 activation code. Did I do something wrong, or is it true that Norton's really wants people to wait until the day before their expiration to purchase an upgrade. I would think they'd want your money sooner. Am I misunderstanding something?
