My OS: Windows XP SP3
I installed NIS 2011 (Norto Internet Security 2011 18.5.0.125) a couple of days ago but it is acting strange. Upon installation I do see the tray icon and everything is fine. But some times when I reboot; the icon goes away and I cannot get it back.
I have done the uninstall and also used the norton removal tool. However the problem still exists. I do see the notron processes and tested using a virus file so everything works in the background. However I do not have the tray icon and can't launch it manually either to manage anything.
I saw people having issues with NIS 2010 and norton has a hotfix for that. However I can't find anything for NIS 2011 
Would you please help?
