Yes, that's no typo I just updated from NIS 2011 to NIS 2012 (no way am I going near 2013 for a long time).
Running Win 7 - Pro SP1 x64 and IE 9.
After uninstalling NIS 2011, I started with a previously saved NIS 2012 ver 19.8.0.14. After all set up and reconnected to the internet, the update process gave me 19.9.0.9 and then finally 19.9.1.14.
All seems OK, but I noticed when I installed the Norton Tool bar in IE9 that a message came up confirming that I did want to install the Norton Tool bar add-on and it also had pre-checked that I should install the Norton Identity Protection add-on.
Interestingly there was another add-on listed with the option to manually check it called Norton Vulnerability Protection. Since it was not pre-checked and I didn't know what it was for, I didn't check it.
In IE9 when I go to Tools>Manage Add-Ons the 3 add-ons that I mentioned above show there, but as expected Norton Vulnerability Protection show disabled.
Can someone tell me what the Norton Vulnerability Protection add-on is for and whether it should be Enabled or Disabled. I would like to know what it is associated with as I don't use all of NIS default settings.
Also wasn't there an add-on for Intrusion Protection with NIS 2011?
Thanks
