I'm posting a new message on this subject because I haven't found anyone else with my particular problem, save to the user that has both Zone Alarm and NIS running at the same time.
I'm running XPsp3 and Outlook and Outlook Express as well. Smart Firewall (SF) is definitely blocking port 587 output to my ISP mail server. If I disable SF I have no problem sending mail to my ISP mail server. I have tried setting specific port settings for programs Outlook and Outlook Express in SF with no change in results. Any ideas? I just ordered a new Norton bundle for 2013. WIll I have to send it back?
