hi,
i am running windows 7 SP1 2/2/2012 i upgraded to norton internet security 2012 and it keeps crashing my system, when i bought my pc it had a trial of norton 2010 and i upgraded to 2011 and when my subscription was about to run out in about 30 days i went and bought a copy of NIS 2012 from my local walmart. i put the disk in installed 2012 and restarted through the prompts on the install, when i rebooted it came up with an error code 8504, 101. i searched norton for the error code but nothing came up. i used the virtual help desk and the best they could offer was the remove tool or to uninstall and reinstall. i tried the remove tool and it said that it couldnt upgrade, so i uninstalled, saved my settings and reinstalled from disk. i rebooted after reinstall and norton wouldnt launch, so i rebooted and it launched. i figured everything was fine, no error codes or anything. i started my SWTOR and my comp crashed. i started in safe mode, ran norton and everything came back fine. i restarted my computer, opened norton and ran live update and i got a blue screen, restarted comp and everything was fine again. ran full system scan, not in safe mode, it finished and again blue screen. i restarted and everything was fine, it says full system scan completed and live update is up to date. i started office 2007, IE9, windows explorer, everything i normally use., no problems. i started my SWTOR and it crashes my comp. i had no problems, not one while useing NIS 2011 all year long. any thoughts? by the way i am running a 2.7 Ghz dual core, 4G of RAM and a 500G hard drive.
