Greetings!
I have Full System Idle Scans, Optimizer, etc. set to OFF.
Quick Idle Scans still continue and I understand that this is "normal" behavior.
However, the problem is that when my system is "Idle" these Quick scans appear to cause the following:
1) An unusual amount of HDD thrashing. This didn't happen before NIS 2012 was installed.
2) After 3 minutes of active use, I see a message box in the lower right hand corner stating that "Idle Time Scans Have Started. Two seconds after that, another message - "Idle Time Scans Have Completed - Nothing Found."
Something is not right here, in my opinion.
One more thing...
It would be nice if I can switch these Idle Quick Scans to OFF.
If NIS is so configurable, why am I mandated to accept these Quick Scans?
The user should decide if they want these, not Norton.
Atomic Blast :)
