NIS 2012 - Removing Devices from Network Security Map

Hello,

I have repeatedly removed devices no longer on my network from the NIS 2012 Network Security Map.  They keep re-appearing every time I re-open the MAP.  How can I remove them for good?

Thanks,

REK

Do the devices still show up in Device Manager? Can you give an example of a device that was removed?

I actually just got to try this as a laptop for someone who had been visiting, and has now left, was still showing in Network Security Map. I removed it, closed the map and reopened and it was not there on the restart.

Have you run LiveUpdate manually recently to make sure you have the latest version of NIS, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available?

Hi RonK-Cox,

Were the devices originally added automatically or manually?  Follow the instructions given here, using the "Purge" option to  clear the entire slate if all else fails.  Norton will automatically re-add the active devices as they access the network.
