Periodically I run a manual update for Norton Internet Security 2012.
Sometimes after the update runs it says it needs to restart my computer.
When I select the option to restart the computer later, is my computer still being protected from the lastest threats?
It would seem to me you would have to restart your computer to protect it from the latest threats.
If you have to restart your computer to protect it from the latest threats, shouldn't the Norton icon in the task bar change to something other than a green check mark to warn you a restart is needed?
I also noticed if I don't restart my computer but instead run another life update, it will down load the updates and install them. It then gives me the option of restarting the computer.
It seems odd that you can keep running subsequent life updates even though you have not restarted your computer.
