NIS 2012 scheduled scan runs at wrong time after daylight savings change

I had a full system scan scheduled weekly at 6:00 PM.

 

The first scan after the recent end of daylight savings ran at 5:00 PM but showed in the scan history that it ran at 17:59:17.

My PC clock and time zone was correct and set by internet time.

 

I removed and reconfigured the scan schedule and it has since run at the correct time.

 

Another example of  the multitude of unfriendly changes that were made to the scheduled scan process from NIS 2011 to NIS 2012.

Same happened to me.  It started @ 5 & re-started @ 6 again.  It seemed to fix itself today.

Take a look at your scan history.

 

Mine scans at the correct time now, but the scan history starting time is incorrect by approximately one hour.

For example, my full system scan is scheduled for 6:00 PM (18:00 hours) and the scan history shows that the scan started at 19:00 hours.

 

I say approximately, because the history typically shows the scan starting 5 to 15 minutes earlier than the actual time it starts, plus the hour.

For example, the history shows a start time of 18:44:08 for a scan scheduled at 6:00 PM.

Hi,

The time change will cause a few problems since it was the 'fall back' change. It may take a cold boot - shut down and wait several minutes before rebooting - to clear the confusion. Besure your system date and time are correct before AND after this operation.

I shutdown my PC all night every night.

My system date and time are correct and set by internet time.

 

I looked at this a little further, and I noticed that the history shows the ending time for the scan, not the start time.

 

Using that criteria, the numbers add up.
