NIS 2012 will not update to 19.6.1.8

I have Norton Security 2012 ver 19.2.0.10 on my desktop and laptop. The laptop automatically updated to ver 19.6.1.8 but the desktop has not. (Both are running Win7-64 bit)

I have followed suggestions in Tony Wiess' post on availability of update: Restarted computer, manually ran LiveUpdate - it installed some Pulse updates but the version did not change. Went to Update Me Now and ran actuveX which returned message that I have latest version up-to-date installed. Same when clicked on Support/New Version Check inside NIS window. In Tony Weiss' post there was a link that I thought would give me the option to download and manually install update, but it took me to a page where I could manually select my version, but it would still respond that I was up-to-date. How can I get this fixed? Thanks
