NIS 2013 blocking incoming email

I have NIS 2013 installed in my VAIO laptop which runs W7-Ultimate 64. Email client is Outllok 2013, but the problem shows up with Outlook 2007 or any other email client.

Once in a while every incoming email protocol, no matter if port 110 (Clear POP), 143 (Clear IMAP), 993 (SSL IMAP) ou 995 (SSL POP) stop working.

There is no work around that will get it back to work, other than either uninstalling NIS (It goes back to work even before rebooting), or simply by rebooting the machine without uninstalling NIS. I've also tried to disable inbound email scanning and a few other things. It looks like that NIS incoming mail proxy is just blocking any email incoming traffic. All other TCP/IP protocols and services work fine, just those related to email incoming stop working.

The connection is made to the server but the "prompt" (+OK for POP3) is never received, causing the protocol to timeout. Under Outlook, for the SSL accounts, an error related to the certificate been revoked is also shown.

This is going on for a while. A week ago I uninstalled NIS, rebooted the machine, downloaded NIS from Symantec site and reinstalled it. It last for a week. An hour ago the problem arose again.

One important note: I'm a software developer and work with email protocols (all of them). I use OpenSSL libraries and dlls for  SSL/TLS handling in my coding. Nevertheless, no matter what errors these libraries or my code could have (the code is quite stable, though) it should cause harm to NIS proxy.

Does anyone have similar problems?
