I originally had 2012 NIS installed and then upgraded to 2013. All settings were upgraded to 2013 intact.
I had to reinstall Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and then installed NIS 2013 trial from Symantec website.
Clicked Advanced
Clicked Settings
Under Computer - Antivurs and SONAR Exclusions
Clicked Items to Exclude from scans
Entered C:\SAMPLE
Entered X:\
Entered Y:\
Entered Z:\
(Note that X-Z are network/mapped drive letters)
Clicked OK
Clicked on Items to Exclude from Auto-Protect, SONAR and Download Intelligence Detection
Entered sample as above
Clicked OK
Went back into previous link and X-Z drives would not take. Tried this on 2 different computers, but same settings and mappings.
What I had to do to fix this:
Had to uninstall and wipe NIS 2013, then installed 2012 trial of NIS, configured above settings in both spots, and updated program.
Then I had to install NIS 2013 trial over top of NIS 2012 trial and updates.
Anyone else have this problem with Network drives/mappings and Exclusions from SONAR, etc.?
