I have had NIS 2013 since 6th Sept 2012 and so far the Live Updates are working fine - all updating and no errors. I have been manually running Live Update after the computer has been off overnight and checking the updates are all successful. So far so good.
But today I realsied I hadn't seen any Norton Web Protection Definitions in a while.
I went back through the history of Live Updates and can see that for the first week since installation I had Norton Web Protection Definitions updates every day - sometimes severeal times a day.
Since 13th September I haven't had any Norton Web Protection Definitions.
Live Update shows successful, there aren't any more updates or any failed ones. Autofix shows the program is working properly.
Is this normal?
I am on Windows XP SP3. Any advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks. I still haven't got used to trusting something to work without me checking things and I don't know enough about this to know what's what..
I understand your reply - thanks for your help.

Shep1,
Feel free to keep checking. The automatic updates usually grab only the most important [critical] stuff. Running live update manually from time to time gets the rest of the bits and bytes necessary for the best level of protection.
