NIS 2013 interface fully black or invisible

Hey guys,

 

I got an error message last night and I was told by the software to get support which essentially led me to the Norton website, and installed the latest version (or patch). Following this, I either get a fully black box where the NIS interface used to be (with the buttons still working because I can see the mouse cursor change to "the hand" that appears when hovering on a link) but I can't see anything at all. I uninstalled and reinstalled NIS and now the whole interface is invisible with everything else (the mouse cursor) same as before. Any idea what's going on? If I click something that luckily does do something like start a scan, I again get a black box as seen in the screen shot attached below.

I am on Win 7 64 bit if that helps. Thanks a lot!

I will assume that you have rebooted at least once and that your OS and video drivers are current. With all of this true then the Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool may be the answer

I have the latest video drivers and had already tried the Norton removal tool before posting here, sorry I forgot to mention that. It didn’t help unfortunately.
