I purchased a 1 year / 3 pc subscription but it seems like you're doing something a bit dishonest - you disable my subscription simply because I haven't connected to the internet.
I logged into one of the PCs today to do maintenance and found the a message similar to:
"Your Norton subscription is disabled because you have no internet connection. You should enable your internet and validate your subscription".
The thing is, I have internet. I just don't leave that box always connected. It seems a bit underhanded for you to disable my product because I might not have connected to the internet in a while.
I realize antivirus definitions need regular updates but that's still no reason to disable the protection offered by autoprotect. Until I get around to updating, the older virus definitions offer some protection which is better than none. After all I did pay for the product.
I've been with Symantec since the 2000 product but I have to say I've not been happy with the business practices as of late.
PS:
I had to pass the subscription check to install the product. Why do you need to repeatedly check it? You can easily check it during LiveUpdate and deny the update if it's expired.
