Was having issues installing NIS 2013 on top NIS 2012. Vista Ultimate 32-bit.
Ran the Norton Removal Tool from www.norton.com/nrt. Did a fresh install of NIS 2013. Install screen says complete. Re-boot PC. No internet access in normal boot mode, so evidently the firewall got installed. Selection of Norton Internet Security from the Start Menu does nothing. No Norton protection symbol in the system tray. Only way to get internet access is through Safe mode.
