NIS 2014 not working properly

I upgraded an existing NIS 2013 to the latest 2014 version : to 21.1.0.18.

 

Since the upgrade LiveUpdate continues as normal. But not once has a scan been done.

 

FIX NOW doesn't work,

provides no error message other than "Fix Not Complete" "Item: Quick Scan Status : Not Fixed.

 

Manually starting of all the scan options is ignored.

 

I can't find any reference to repairing the program, other than the Autofix that returns "We did not find any issues with Norton Internet Security".

I have previously used NPE but that's not cured the issue.

 

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

4GB Ram available
