NIS 5.... An inconvenience

Hi guys.

As the title says, NIS 5 has been a huge inconvenience thus far for me. This is what happened THUS far with NIS 5:

1) Activation? AGAIN?

When I installed the product, it asked me for the product key, which I entered correctly the first day (or evening) the product was released. Now randomly today, it’s telling me I have to activate the product again? Why if according to my norton account site, it says my license expires on Sept. 30, which is correct. Do I have to keep activating this product every few days? I don’t think I should, I thought it was a one time thing…?

2) My FF browser suddenly stays connecting to such and such page.

While I am browsing on my Mac, I noticed that after I installed the product, that after a LiveUpdate session in the background, my browser goes haywire. It just stays “Connecting…” to a page. If I open a new page and try to visit the same web page ( the only one I tries so far) it stays connecting too! My only solution is to quit the browser and reopen it again…

I tried restarting my modem and router as its usually a good fix to this, but I noticed that the issues just around the time frame that Norton updates in the background. The issue still occurs.

3) Virus Protection- OFF?

A few days ago, I had this same issue. I ran LiveUpdate and it fixed. Now today after I had to “Activate the product” again it turned off by itself! Should it be doing this?!?

This has been a huge inconvenience thus far. Is there any fixes in the works for this issue?
