NIS 5 and OS x Lion firewall turned on at the same time question

Would someone from Symantec support inform me after installing NIS 5 on my iMac, should I leave Apple's firewall turned on or should I turn off Apple's OS X firewall? I read in NIS 5 online help documents saying NIS 5 fire wall port scan feature won't work if Apple's firewall is turned on. Is this true? If so should Apple's fire wall be turned off while running NIS 5 which includes its own firewall features? Thanks....
