NIS 5 for Mac - OS X 10.7.2 - Safari 5.1.1 - Norton toolbar missing

Is Norton toolbar supported for OS X 10.7.2, Safari 5.1.1?

I have confirmed that Toolbar option is set to on, but can't see any Safeweb ratings when I do google searches.

I am new to Mac and liked the ratings feature when doing googe searches for my win7 laptop so would like it for Mac.

I would be astonished if the native browser for Mac is not supported.  I don't want to clutter my laptop by having to download a 3rd party browser.

It's misleading to have a product called 'for Mac' when a key feature (phising protection and website ratings) not available for the native browser.  Why would you get the product when that is not available or only available if you use a non-native browser?  The native filevault and OS X firewall is good enough.

Can I get confirmation if the toolbar will be available for Safari - if it isn't then I would like to get a refund on my purchase

Ok, thanks for update.  Hopefully it won't take long b/c I really only need it for the sfaeweb and phising protections.

So I assume it is available for Safari 5.0 and earlier - is there some way to downgrade safari ver?

As alternatives that I can use in meantime w/o hving to dload Firefox:

Is Web of Trust the same as Safeweb?

Is there something else that I can use for Phising protections in the meantime?

Web of Trust is not the same as SafeWeb. Web of Trust relies on the community to report bad Web sites. Norton SafeWeb relies on the 100+ million Norton customers to gather its data, so it's more real time. When a Norton product Mac or PC, detects a threat that was downloaded online, it is reported to SafeWeb.

Phishing protection is built into Safari, but again it's not real-time. Norton Phishing Protection heuristically checks each Web site for characteristics of a phishing site, whereas the proteciton built into Safari is a block list that's updated periodically.

Safari 5.0 is not available for Lion, unfortunately. The changes to Safari 5.1 made it incompatible with our toolbar. We are working on an update but cannot make any specific timeline available.

Is there a reason you don't want to try Firefox? Each browser has its pluses and minuses, so I typically use both anyway.
