This may be somewhat of a duplicate post. I just spent about 4 to 6 hours with a Norton/Symantec
tech rep (using Chat and Logmein). I have just installed NIS on a Windows XP PC.
Service Pack 3, IE 7 etc.
The Advanced Protection feature (whatever that is) gets turned off after the computer gets re-booted.
The technician tried everything he could to fix the issue, to no avail.
This included (2 times by me, and 2 times by him) of running the Norton removal tool, and reinstalling NIS.
It seemed, at least on this PC, that after the updates are applied (to 16.5, etc), is when the problem occurs.
After surrendering, the rep said he would turn my issue over to a case manager, for continuing the troubleshooting.
Has anyone else seen this problem?
