NIS and Facebook

I just realized that I had not seen any messages from Norton via Facebook telling me that my feed was safe, so after doing a full system scan, I decided to get Norton to scan it via the NIS gui. Unfortunately, nothing happened: it kept trying to go to sitedirector.symantec.com/932743328/?ssdcat=250 unsuccessfully, although the other links on the NIS gui worked. I went to the App Settings in Facebook, and there it stated that Norton's last data access was sometime in May. Clicking on the App in the AppSetting page goes to a Norton Save Web page which told me that autoscan was now available, and an active button "enable auto-scan" was there, which I clicked on. What I am wondering about is how it could have gotten disabled, since it used to scan automatically, and I haven't touched it. I allowed it, and, via Facebook, had it scan my feed, which it did, successfully. I did change my FB password about a month ago, but that doesn't explain the last data access having been in May. I also use https, but I've been using that for a very long time, since before using the Norton Facebook application, so that doesn't explain why it had not been working. In the meantime, the Norton scan of my feed via the Norton gui has taken more than an hour, and is still going....is there some kind of problem with the Facebook/Norton connection?
