I did the free upgraded on my desktop today to Windows 10 from 7 HP. Thought I had better as the free upgrade offer expires this coming Friday. I have now got used to Windows 10 on my Notebook so decided to go for it. All went seamlessly and I haven't yet found any problems.
NIS is showing as all functioning OK after the change, but I see from my Norton account that it still shows my Desktop to be using W 7 rather than W 10 (the Notepad shows the correct OS W 10).
I only have one real basic question; is it important that it reflects the true OS W10 rather than W7, or does it even matter as it's all the same NIS? I would have assumed NIS would automatically detect the change from W 10 from W 7 and amend the OS in the account info. Clearly it doesn't. Do I have to remove/uninstall NIS for the desktop and re-install it, or just leave it as is?
Any advice would be welcome, and thanks,
Bob
