NIS Antispyware seems to cause "Access 2013 has stopped working"

I am using an Access 2013 database application on a Windows 8.1 machine that is running Norton Internet Security v21.6.0.32.

Everything seems to work fine, except for one form where, after a small but unpredictable number of new record additions (something between 1 and 10), I get an error message stating that Access 2013 has stopped working and must restart.

After researching this on Microsoft Office forums, I tried setting up a new user to see if this could be due to a corrupted user profile.  That did not solve the problem. The other source of such problems was Anti-virus related modules.  So, I opened my NIS "Advanced" panel, and disabled everything (for 15 minutes where applicable).  After doing this, I could NOT get Access 2013 to crash.  So, I began enabling modules one at a time.  When I enabled the "Antispyware" module, the crashes resumed. I disabled it again, and enabled all other NIS modules except the Antispyware. Access 2013 would not crash. I turned on Antispyware again, and Access crashed after 3 transactions.

So, it would appear that there is some obscure interaction between Access 2013 and NIS Antispyware that is causing Access to crash.  Is this a Microsoft problem, or a Norton problem, or both?  More importantly, does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this (other than leaving Antispyware permanently disabled)?

Thank you!
