Hello,
some weird behaviour from my NIS (v. 22.5.5.15) today. I used the computer (Win 7/64) about 24 hours ago, shut it down and then another family member used it for about half an hour about 10 hours ago and left it on. The computer is set to go asleep after a few hours' inactivity and that's how (=sleeping) I found it. I woke it up without full reboot. Two weird things happened:
1) Norton icon had disappeared from system tray. I tried to launch the programme from Start Menu, but nothing happened, i.e. the normal NIS main window did not come up. Windows Action Center reported that antivirus is active and I got no warnings. I decided to restart the computer anyhow. After reboot, the icon was available and I was able to open the NIS main window. I tried to see when the computer had actually gone to sleep and found the second problem...
2) When opening the "graphs" and tried to see when the CPU had gone to zero, I noticed that the graph claims that the computer has been off for 24 hours (Zooming 1D). This is definitely not correct, as the computer had been ON for approximately 3-4 hours in total starting about 10 hours ago!
What could explain these weird behaviours and are they connected? I've found some threads about the missing icon so I presume it is some kind of clash between NIS and Win...
Up to now the computer and NIS have been working pretty much ok. I'm not very concerned of a corrupt install or having some viruses... but you never know of course...
