Has anyone else noticed NIS starts alerting about bogus "high" security risks just before expiration of your subscription? Say within 30 days?
The original alert says something like "Risk: High", "Remove Failed" and then when you rescan it immediately says "fully resolved" but gives no detail on what was done?
If you follow the links though to the actual virus descriptions (not always easy) they have always been "Very Low" or "Low" risk - not "high" as originally reported
Norton appears to be falsely alerting the level of risk just prior to subscription expirations in order to deliberately scare-monger people into renewing their subscription.
This is my third year with NIS. I like the products. But if this behaviour is what it appears it really pisses me off.
Attached are images from what I consider a falsely elevated risk alert I received today.
Has anyone else seen this behaviour just prior (and only just prior) to expiration of your subscription?
