Hi all. I see that nis.exe is running at priority level "normal". I wanted to permanently change this to "above normal" or "high" and I did: first I temporarily unchecked "Norton Tamper Protection", then I used System Explorer to set the priority to high permanently.
Thing is that when I restarted the pc norton was running again at its "normal" priority. Is there a way to change this? And is it advisable?
If it is set on normal and not higher I'm sure there is a reason but I noticed, for example, that when I download an exe file from internet the pop-up window that tells me that the file is safe sometimes takes longer to appear (normally I'd already launch the executable but I wait just to be sure...). Couldn't the response time be improved by changing the priority level? That is when browser and other applications are running at the same time...
