NIS Expired but Symantec Service Framework Still Runs Everyday. WHY ?

(1) Some form of NIS was preinstalled on my Win7 computer when I bought it back in 2010, with a free 2 month trial. The computer is not connected to the web. NIS expired after those two months, yet that the bleep Symantec Service Framework keeps rudely and randomly running now and then in the background. It’s not supposed to be doing anything now that it’s expired. Why the hell is it doing this?

(2) The obnoxiousness and lack of etiquette Symantec’s programmers (as well as most software companies) aggressively force on me angers me to the point of never wanting to be a customer of theirs. Constantly popping up windows telling me day after day that NIS is about to expire, me clicking the option to tell it to never remind me again, only to have my requests rudely ignored and forcing pop-up windows on me anyway to remind me as if I need to be told 100 times, is unacceptable behavior. However, since it’s all pre-installed and all set up, should I demote that computer to internet use, I’d rather not remove it, but just disable it so it sits dormant for now. Yet again to do Symantec’s rude and aggressive software, unchecking it in the startup items only causes it to regenerate itself and load on boot up anyway. HOW DO I GET IT TO STOP LOADING IN THE FIRST PLACE ???

Thanks for any answers to my questions.
