My isp use dhcp. dhcp i read that use tcp port 445 but i disable netbios over tcp/ip. I think is that dhcp server on ther other side - - my isp. Is this possible guys?
That are screens from my taskmanager running services. I again enble "server" in services.msc to see some detailed info.
Hi milen15,
It is good that your ISP uses DHCP so you can have an IP from a pool of addresses.
Otherwise you should have a static IP.
But DHCP uses ports 67 & 68 not 445.
Depending on your router model, can you go into it's configuration page and see if the range of addresses for DHCP is correct & also if possible disable the UPnP option?
See how it goes...
Milen15,
Please refer to this and see the use of port 445.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc959833.aspx
& http://support.microsoft.com/kb/832017#method40 section RPC.
Although they refer to older OS I think that it is the same with W7 and W8.
Regards,
Hi guys:) Last night my pc running a wi-fi network at home same isp (same router) and no even a single log in NIS for smb2000, i beging to thinking that all problems are mayber from the isp's router probably (i hope).
Hi milen15,
If there are no NIS SMB 2000 firewall entries when you run your pc in wireless mode, then no problem!!
Also, you can try to update your ethernet network drivers, test, and see if the problem comes back.
Kind regards,
