Without my knowingly changing any settings on NIS or in Thunderbird, Thunderbird is unable to pull down emails from 2 separate accounts: one with BTInternet and one with Hotmail.
This first occurred 2 or 3 months ago, and I found that if I turned off the NIS Firewall T'bird could download emails normally. After several such temporary turn-offs of NIS Firewall, the blockage seemed to disappear, and with NIS firewall on all the email downloads worked.
The "can't download" symptoms returned last night, but turning off the NIS firewall didn't help.
Has anyone else had similar experiences ? Does anyone know why ?
