OK - I'll try this again as the forum post tool stripped all the text from my posting...
I've been using a new Toshiba laptop, Win 7, factory-installed eval of NIS, and IE9 for two weeks without issues. Suddenly (either late 4/26 or early 4/27) IE9 started crashing on three of my home page tabs - endlessly. Although the National Weather Service tab continues to work perfectly, the Gmail, Yahoo mail, and Marketwatch tabs will not load and remian loaded. I cannot browse those sites at all.
There were a couple of Windows updates done on 4/26-27, including SP1, that I thought might be causing the issue, so I tried to remove those - also tried restoring to a previous resore point. None of these steps fixed the crashing issue.
I tried Chrome - everything works fine. (don't knwo if NIS was active, but I do know that password manager did not work.)
Next I disabbled all plugins - browsing worked fine. Turned on just NIS plugins - crashes returned.
I'll be happy to upload log files if you tell me where to find them.
