NIS keeps detecting trojans when opening DXO Optics Pro

Since using DXO Optics Pro Norton IS 2012 keeps claiming that’s its detected Trojan files on my laptop.

They are at  C:\Users\”my user account”\AppData\Local\Temp

The last two have been fi0iy5zb.dll and dqzk1s2p.dll.

Evey time its as I open Optics Pro. I have uploaded them to https://www.virustotal.com/en/ which reports them clean.

I am lost both as to why NIS is doing this and why DXO Optics Pro is creating small dlls in this folder. Any one any ideas?

Hi,
Quick question,

Have you uploaded Optics Pro to see if it is clean?

Thanks

Not the full program as its some 200mb. I have uploaded the dll's Norton quarantined and they were clean.

Try scanning the URL where you downloaded the file using this Virus Total link  https://www.virustotal.com/en/#url

That way you do not have to use up your bandwidth.

Thanks for idea, but it’s a link that downloads an installer that then downloads the right version of program (32 or 64bit, very common now) NIS scanned it when down loaded on both a 32 and 64 bit W7 PC's.

It’s only been a problem on the 64 bit and not at all on the 32bit. I have scanned with Malwarebytes and Spybot  locally and did a Trend online scasnn. Only NIS found anything and as said before the two dll it guaranteed wire passed as OK by VirusTotal. It’s NIS doing false positives again and it’s very difficult to find how to report then.

Hi john7,

I would follow the procedures here to have Norton analyze them as possible false positives.

https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/kb20100222230832EN_EndUserProfile_en_us

Hope that helps.

Thanks
