NIS liveupdate fails from conflict w/ Microsoft's "Data Execution Protection"

Liveupdate is failing and it’s because of Windows’ “data execution protection,” a message appears saying DEP has closed NIS stub, because (i assume) DEP incorrectly views NIS as a threat or something. 

 

Symantec should be aware of this conflict, but better yet: do something about it; i.e. rectify it. Running the .exe liveupdate is NOT a long-term solution.

 

Please respond immediately with a workable, long-term solution.
